The 2011 Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run, a three circuit 5K (3.1 mile) Run Walk, will once again wind its way through the streets of Downtown Fort Lauderdale. With a special competition that awards the overall men’s, women’s and co-ed teams in 20 different industries, the Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run Series attracts more than 800 South Florida Companies with more than 25,000 runners and walkers. For the first time, every race participant will be electronically timed and the results will be posted on the internet. The run is open to employees of businesses, corporations, government agencies, financial institutions and non-profits-no matter how big or small. Everyone is encouraged to participate and may enter an unlimited number of employees to walk or run as a group
As part of the tri-county race circuit, a portion of the proceeds from the Fort Lauderdale run will benefit the South Florida Chapter of the American Red Cross.
