Next year’s show is set for October 26-27, 2010.

MIAMI, FL- With chunky pumpkin and cashew dips from Australia, cinnamon-infused liquors and chocolates from Spain, jams and fruit from Algeria, spicy sauces from the Caribbean, Cachaca and cheese bread from Brazil, the 12th Americas Food & Beverage Show, was an international feast for the senses, showcasing the newest global food and beverage innovations.

More than 6,284 buyers, distributors, exporters and food industry executives representing 63 countries attended the two-day event that featured “sold out” exhibition spaces with 338 booths and 306 exhibiting companies plus competitions, awards, educational seminars and professional workshops.

“This was our best show ever,” according to Jelena Meisel, show director. “Even with the uncertain economy, we broke all records.  I think companies are embracing the idea of growth through import and export.  They see the opportunities in international trade and recognize this show as a unique venue for finding new markets.”

The Americas Food & Beverage Show, the largest Americas focused trade event in the hemisphere for the food and beverage industry, is presented annually by the World Trade Center Miami, advocates and facilitators of global trade–especially within the Western Hemisphere.  According to Charlotte Gallogly, president of the World Trade Center Miami, companies reported approximately $101.8 million dollars in actual and projected sales.  Since the inception of the Americas Food & Beverage Show in 1998, the event has generated more than $3.4 billion in sales.

“Our show has a singular purpose,” says Ms. Gallogly. “To bring buyers together with sellers.  It works, and we repeat the process every year.”

The 14th Americas Food & Beverage Show is scheduled for October 26-27, 2010 at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami, Florida.
