Move over Heidi Klum, some of South Florida’s most philanthropic residents have a chance to strut their stuff on the runway for a good cause! The Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation’s Community Council will present the 11th Annual Hugs & Kisses Fashion Show on Sunday, April 18 at The Ritz Carlton Coconut Grove.
50 local children from newborns to 18-year-olds, along with some of their proud parents, grandparents, and friends, will model fabulous ensembles from Dadeland Mall retailers including Gap, Baby Gap, Gap Kids, Justice, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Gymboree. A gourmet lunch and silent auction will also take place. There will be a special drawing for the grand prize Beaches Resorts The Luxury Included® Family Vacation Package, the second prize a Whispers Charter Day Cruise, or the third prize of a Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation 18K White gold charm bracelet.
The Hugs & Kisses Fashion Show will be emceed by CBS4 Anchor Shannon Hori and music presented by Univision Radio personality, Joe Ferrero.
Special performance by Miami pop artist, Stephanie Carcache.
South Florida Parenting Magazine also is supporting the event produced by the Community Council of Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation.
As part of the event program, seven local students who have made philanthropic contributions to the community will be honored with the Foundation’s Third Annual “I Make a Difference” Award. Honorees include students from Carrollton Sacred Heart School, Casa Dei Bambini, Gulliver High School, Miami Country Day School, Palmer Trinity School, Ransom Everglades School, and St. Thomas Episcopal Parish School and more.
Individual tickets to attend are priced at $150 for adults and $25 for children 16 and under. Tickets must be purchased prior to the event. All proceeds directly benefit Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation, whose sole mission is to create awareness and generate funds for Miami Children’s Hospital, the only licensed specialty hospital in South Florida exclusively for children.
