The Women of Distinction & Caring Luncheon is the Signature event of the Plaza Health Network Foundation. The 10th Anniversary Luncheon will recognize an exceptional group of women in Miami-Dade County who have made significant differences in the lives of others locally and globally through their leadership, volunteerism, professional work and philanthropy. Proceeds from the luncheon will support special programs for patients and residents of the Plaza Health Network. We anticipate an audience of 500 ladies and gentlemen.

As the philanthropic arm of the Plaza Health Network, the Foundation provides funds supporting patient focused programs and services that go beyond the basics covered by Medicare, Medicaid and insurances. Funding priorities include, The Music & Memory program for patients with dementia and Alzheimer’s, The Virtual Family Reunion System, which virtually connects patients with up to 40 friends & family members worldwide, and the new Perez Family Foundation Cultural Arts Program, bringing life concerts and art to our patients. The award winning, not-for-profit, Plaza Health Network serves 700 patients and families throughout the 6 rehabilitation and skilled nursing centers.

Our honorees confirmed to date are:

Barbara Reese: Longtime Leader and Past Chair of the Young Patronesses of the Opera
