World Music Icon Carlos Santana Brings “The Corazón Tour” to Hard Rock Live on May 2

Multi-platinum world music icon Carlos Santana will bring “The Corazón Tour” toHard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on May 2, 2014 at 8 p.m. Tickets are on sale, now.

 

Corazón, a joint release from Sony Latin Iberia and RCA Records, is set to be released in early 2014. The album explores  Santana’s  musical  roots  across  different  Latin  genres,  and  spotlights  his influence  on  Latin  music, today.  The album is executive produced by Carlos Santana, his longtime collaborator Clive Davis (chief creative officer, Sony Music Entertainment), and Afo Verde (chairman and CEO for Sony’s Latin Region, Spain and Portugal).  The project also features collaborations with top artists including Ziggy Marley (Jamaica), Los Fabulosos Cadillacs (Argentina) and Romeo Santos (Dominican Republic).

 

For more than 40 years and almost 50 albums later, Santana has sold upwards of 100 million records and reached more than 100 million fans at concerts worldwide.  To date, Santana has won 10 Grammy Awards, including a record-tying nine for a single project, 1999’s Supernatural (including Album of the Year and Record of the Year for “Smooth”), as well as three Latin Grammys.  Santana is the only music act besides the Rolling Stones to chart at least one Top 10 pop album in every decade since the 1960s. Among many other honors, Carlos Santana has received the Billboard Century Award, Billboard Latin Music Awards’ Lifetime Achievement honor, and is on Rolling Stone’s list of the “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.” On December 8, Carlos Santana became a recipient of the 2013 Kennedy Center Honors.
