As the evening nears, Kyriakides Plaza at MDC Wolfson Campus comes alive with the hustle and bustle of the college’s popular Market & Movie Night. Held along the stretch of the Plaza, this month’s event which welcomes the new academic year, will feature sixty vendors offering an array of goods and services sure to please guests of all ages, including fresh produce provided by Urban Oasis, artisanal treats, mini-classes, unique gifts and even a dog fashion show! For the pet-lover in you, the event will offer the perfect backdrop to meet dogs that are in need of their FUR-ever home and will be available for adoption – a service provided by Miami-Dade County Animal Service Department. In addition to live music by Guitars Over Guns, there will be four food trucks offering a rich savory and sensory experience that will have guests coming back for each month’s Market & Movie Night. As the sun sets, the west end of the Plaza will become an outdoor theater and a dance floor all at once. Inspired by the timeless film Dirty Dancing, selected New World School of the Arts dance students will dance to the song “Time of my Life” as they usher guests to the dance floor to partake in the merriment in anticipation of the film. To conclude the evening, guests will have the opportunity to relive the romance of Frances “Baby” and Johnny Castle through the showing of Dirty Dancing under the stars.
