Windstar Cruises has officially taken ownership of its newest vessel, the Star Seeker, at a handover ceremony in Portugal. The 224-guest, all-suite yacht marks a major milestone as the first new build in Windstar’s Star Class, set to debut in January 2026.
Designed for intimate, destination-focused cruising, Star Seeker features nearly 112 ocean-view suites, expansive decks, five dining venues—including the new Basil + Bamboo—and an upgraded WorldSpa. The vessel boasts cutting-edge sustainability tech, including Rolls Royce tier III engines and advanced wastewater systems, emphasizing Windstar’s environmental commitment.
After a christening in Miami on January 15, Star Seeker will embark on her inaugural Caribbean season, visiting both popular ports and hidden islands. She’ll then cruise Alaska, offering wildlife encounters and glacier excursions, before heading to Japan for immersive cultural voyages in late 2026 and beyond.
Followed by sister yacht Star Explorer in December 2026, Star Seeker signals Windstar’s ongoing expansion into remote regions with a focus on personalized, luxury small-ship adventures that redefine cruising in 2027.
