Miami may be known as a tourist destination, but even locals and residents may not realize all that the vibrant destination has to offer. Enter the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau (GMCVB), which creates new opportunities for locals and visitors to explore our own backyard with free and discounted activities through their Miami Temptations Program (of Miami Spice and Miami Spa Months fame).
Miami Health & Wellness Months is currently active – offering wellness-forward activities at affordable prices. I’m sharing some highlights below (release attached for more):
- Unplug with a tech-free day exploring the great outdoors in Miami’s Historic Virginia Key Beach Park. This family friendly cycling excursion with a potluck style grilling ambience is available every Saturday at 9 a.m. for no charge through the course of GMCVB’s program.
- Move to the beat of a free introductory Zumba class on March 20 at the local Zoo Miami. The class blends contagious world rhythms to easy-to-follow choreography for an effective workout. Participants can expect to leave the class with the chance to win a free Zumba instructor training class and 10% off general admission tickets to Zoo Miami the day of the event.
- Enjoy Tur Kitchen’s casual savory experience that infuses the freshest ingredients with the attractive flavors of the Mediterranean in a carefully curated health and wellness vegetarian menu, that is available Monday through Friday for lunch, for a cost of $25.00.
