On November 3, 2025, Football for Peace (FfP) and FIU’s Institute of Environment, supported by the FIFA World Cup 26™ Miami Host Committee, will host the Unity | Water Youth Activation Day at FIU Biscayne Bay Campus.
This unique event engages 60 Miami youth (ages 13–15) in hands-on activities focused on water stewardship, environmental innovation, and peacebuilding through football. Guests include Olympian Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, former NFL and NBA players, and community leaders.
Special guests include:

Activities feature water data exploration, marine research, football clinics, and habitat restoration education, emphasizing water security, youth empowerment, and sports diplomacy. This initiative fosters community resilience and promotes a sustainable legacy for Miami’s World Cup celebrations.
Interactive activation stations will include:
- Boat Tour:Explore Biscayne Bay and learn how FIU researchers collect and analyze real-time water data.
- Lab Experience:Hands-on exploration at FIU’s Coastal Conservation and Restoration Lab (CCRL), featuring marine life, 3D-printed bio-tiles, and underwater drones.
- Football Clinics:Soccer and flag football skill sessions emphasizing teamwork, leadership, and action through play.
