Help make wishes come true one step at a time at the 5th Annual Walk For Wishes® 5K Walk/Run at Markham Park in Sunrise on Saturday, February 8, 2014.
In its 3-year history, more than 4,300 men, women and children hit the course to help turn incredible wishes into extraordinary realities. In total, more than $440,000 was raised, enough to grant 88 heartfelt wishes to courageous children in our local community.
You can join in the fun! Participate as an individual or get together with family, friends and colleagues to form a team. After you complete the 5K course, you can enjoy a light breakfast and Family Fun Day activities. Advance registration fee is $25 for adults (13 and up) and $10 for kids, and includes a commemorative t-shirt (if registered by January 10, 2014). Event day registration fee is $30 for adults (13 and up) and $15 for kids. 100% of event proceeds benefit Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida.
Registration being at 7:30 a.m.
5K Walk/Run begins at 8:30 a.m.
Family Fun Day begins at 9:00 a.m.
Parking is available at Markham Park. The park entry fee (per person) will be waived for Walk participants. Guests who are spectators must pay the $1.50 entry fee.
