Miami International Airport (MIA) has introduced TSA PreCheck Touchless ID at concourses D, E, and H, offering travelers a faster and more seamless security experience. In partnership with TSA and participating airlines, this cutting-edge biometric technology allows eligible TSA PreCheck members to verify their identity without presenting a physical ID or boarding pass.

Using advanced facial comparison technology, travelers simply look into a camera at designated lanes. Their live facial image is securely matched against their passport, enabling quick and secure verification in seconds. This touchless process improves security while significantly reducing wait times.

The rollout enhances MIA’s ongoing modernization efforts, including new bag screening and bin return technology in TSA Checkpoint 2, making security more efficient ahead of the busy spring travel season. Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava emphasized that these improvements streamline travel and elevate passenger experience.

TSA PreCheck Touchless ID is available to current TSA PreCheck members flying with American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Delta, and United at specific MIA concourses. To use the service, travelers must opt in through their airline’s app or profile, ensuring their TSA Known Traveler Number and passport data are up to date. A special indicator on the mobile boarding pass verifies eligibility.

Travelers are advised to carry a physical ID as a backup when needed. TSA PreCheck remains open to U.S. citizens, nationals, and lawful permanent residents. For more information and enrollment, visit tsa.gov/precheck.
