“A rare combination of grace and guts.”
– Wall Street Journal
An artist, curator and teacher, Claire Chase is passionately dedicated to the creation of new ecosystems for the music of our time, having premiered hundreds of new works by a new generation of artists. Described by The New York Times as “the North Star of her instrument’s ever-expanding universe,” she has performed as a soloist with orchestras all over the world.
For one day only, Chase and the NWS Fellows join forces to perform works born from Density 2036, her groundbreaking commissioning project that reimagines flute literature over a quarter-century.
