From December 3 – 8, the Miami Design District presented a dynamic line-up of installations, events and environments highlighting the best artists and designers from both Miami and abroad. The range of exhibitions mix art, design, fashion and culture in striking and unusual ways – A Maison Martin Margiela collaboration with Swarovski, Berluti’s presentation of pieces by designer Maarten Baas, a TAPAS exhibition that explores Spanish design adapted to gastronomy, limited edition pieces by Paul Noble produced by The Rug Company, Wallpaper* Handmade’s exhibition with Jaguar, a presentation from Louis Vuitton of work by renowned French designer Charlotte Perriand and a diverse array of exhibitions from the KIWI Arts Group including an interactive experience featuring Goggle Glass™ (for David Datuna’s Viewpoint of Billions). The breadth and scope of the programming is a reflection of the neighborhood’s commitment to celebrate creativity in all its forms.
unnamed-3Concurrent with Art Basel Miami Beach and Design Miami/2013, the 18-square block neighborhood came alive with shoppers and art enthusiasts alike.  Tucked among some of the top luxury stores in the world, including Céline, Dior Homme, Hermès, Louis Vuitton and Prada, are a selection of top galleries, and private collections such as the de la Cruz Contemporary Art Space, Craig Robins Collection and Locust Projects. These offerings, alongside Miami’s top new restaurants, have transformed the Design District into an unparalleled cultural destination.
