Lincoln Road

Lincoln Road, Miami Beach’s culture epicenter, kicks off 2026 with a packed January calendar built around creativity and community. The programming is anchored by Live on Lincoln Road, the promenade’s signature free music series featuring local jazz, Latin and pop artists (January 2, 3 and 23), plus the Lincoln Road Art Walk (January 15 and the third Thursday of every month), aligned with the City of Miami Beach’s Culture Crawl and showcasing major public artworks and gallery activations. Other marquee happenings include the 10th anniversary of the South Beach Jazz Festival(January 8-11) with student showcases (January 10) and an all-day Lincoln Road grand finale (January 11), Raw Figs figure drawing (January 17), Open-Air Tango with free lessons and dancing under the stars (January 18), and Nike + South Beach Run Club (January 22), alongside recurring favorites such as the Lincoln Road Antique & Collectible Market (January 11, 18 and 26), theLincoln Road Farmers Market (Sundays at 9 a.m.), and free community yoga (Sundays at 10 a.m.).

Ocean Drive’s New Year Festivities

This January, Ocean Drive is presenting a series of free art installations, events and live performances that reflect Miami Beach’s cultural charm. Supported by the Ocean Drive Association, highlights include the free Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series every Sunday at 5 p.m., New Year’s Eve fireworks over Lummus Park, a New Year’s Day orchestra concert by the Miami Beach Classical Music Festival at 6 p.m. at Lummus Park, and a free open-air, 100 Years of Art Deco exhibition at Galeria Ocean Drive on view through January 31.

Grand Opening of BrightStar Credit Union in Miami Beach – January 15

BrightStar Credit Union, one of South Florida’s largest and fastest-growing credit unions, is expanding into Miami with the opening of its first-ever branch in Miami Beach. On Sunday, January 18, from 5-11 p.m., Arlo Wynwood welcomes locals and visitors to Higher Ground for a special MLK weekend edition of STAMPED, an #UnapologeticallyAfrican rooftop celebration spotlighting the sound, style and creative force of the diaspora. Arlo’s Living Room Gallery: 1905 Contemporary at Arlo Wynwood – January 22

Blurring the lines between hotel, gallery and community gathering space, Arlo Wynwood will transform its third-floor gallery space into a living exhibition as it hosts Arlo’s Living Room Gallery in partnership with 1905 Contemporary. The limited-time exhibition presents a study in constructed photography, featuring works by Tyler Shields, Jeffrey Czum and Nick Mele, whose distinct practices explore color, imagination and the art of image-making beyond the traditional frame. Curated by Jasmine Arakel, Arlo’s Living Room Gallery series features rotating displays of artworks from some of the most celebrated galleries in Miami, New York and Chicago, allowing guests and visitors to experience and appreciate collector-grade art in a welcoming and accessible environment. David LaChapelle’s Vanishing Act at VISU Contemporary – Now Through February 1 

VISU Contemporary in Miami Beach presents Vanishing Act, an expansive exhibition of more than 30 works by internationally acclaimed photographer David LaChapelle, including the world premiere of nine new pieces, through February 1. Curated by VISU Contemporary owner Bruce Halpryn, the exhibition offers a sweeping look at LaChapelle’s evolving portfolio at a time marked by rapid transformation, environmental tension and cultural overload. As one of only two galleries representing LaChapelle’s work in the Americas, VISU offers an intimate setting for experiencing the artist’s body of work. The exhibition includes new works like “Will the World End in Fire, Will the World End in Ice” (2025) and “Negative Currency” (1990-2025), alongside other pieces such as “Tower of Babel” (2024), “Earth Laughs in Flowers” (2008-2011), “Gas and Land SCAPE” (2012-2014), “Biombos” (1986-2017) and “For Men Will Be Lovers of Self & The Sorrows” (2021). Together, the collection reflects LaChapelle’s signature visual language that merges theatrically, spirituality and social critique.

NUB Pop-Up at UVA – Now through March 12

UVA Restaurant & Bar at Novotel Miami Brickell is partnering with NUB Restaurante, a Michelin-starred restaurant in the Canary Islands, for a limited-time culinary collaboration. The pop-up, which opened on December 12, is enhancing Miami’s growing Michelin-caliber dining scene while offering guests an exclusive yet approachable experience. Studio Above&Below, an award-winning London-based art and technology studio internationally recognized for its data-driven, mixed-reality installations that reveal hidden systems of nature and society, presents two installations at MAD Arts: “Regenerative Symphony,” an immersive work envisioning a future reliant on recycling critical minerals, challenging heavy extraction norms of current resources, and “Quantum Lens,” an immersive mixed reality artwork exploring quantum technologies.

Giant Clyde: A Celebration, a Journey and a Cause – Now Through Mid-February at MAD Arts 

Giant Clyde is a 15-foot mobile sculpture by Detroit-based collective Dragon Preserves that completed a cross-country journey from Detroit to South Florida, making surprise stops at roadside landmarks and Americana icons along the way. The tour was documented through photo and video and culminated in an immersive event at MAD Arts, where the sculpture is now on view through mid-February 2026.
