Screening the Holocaust Series Presents When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit
Monday, March 24 at 7pm
Join us for a special presentation of MJFF 2020 Official Selection When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit, an unforgettable tale of resilience, family, and survival. From Academy Award-winning director Caroline Link (Nowhere in Africa) and based on Judith Kerr’s best-selling novel, this moving historical drama follows one Jewish family’s search for safety across Europe as Nazi Germany rises to power.

Presented as part of the Screening the Holocaust series, this free community event takes place on Monday, March 24 at 7pm at O Cinema South Beach.

A beautifully crafted historical drama, the film follows nine-year-old Anna, a German-Jewish girl whose carefree childhood is upended when her father disappears and her family is forced to flee Berlin in 1933. As they navigate unfamiliar lands and the challenges of life as refugees, Anna embarks on a journey of resilience, self-discovery, and survival.
