New World Symphony returns to the AdrienneArsht Center for a bucket-list concert that has it all:

YOUTHFUL BRILLIANCE – At 22 years old, Alexander Malofeev is “no ordinary prodigy,” says The Boston Classical Review. “He plays with the probing interpretative depths of renowned artists twice his age.” Gen Z’s preeminent pianist takes on Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, one of Rachmaninoff’s best-loved works.

ROMANCE – Grammy-winning conductor Xian Zhang brings out the pain and pleasure of Tristan and Isolde’s doomed love story. Listen closely to hear the radically open-ended “Tristan” chord that haunted and enraged critics of Wagner’s controversial, genre-defining opera.

ICONIC MELODIES – Explore the mysteries of the cosmos with Holst’s The Planets, the celestial masterpiece that inspired several iconic film scores including John Williams’s Star Wars and Hans Zimmer’s Gladiator. Go off into the night humming the joyful, familiar Jupiter theme.
