
Miami’s First Art Museum Celebrates Legacy at Evening of Art on February 28
On February 28 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Lowe Art Museum for Evening of Art, a premier event honoring Miami’s first art museum, founded in 1950. This star-studded celebration unites artists, collectors, philanthropists, and art enthusiasts to support the museum’s mission of accessibility, education, and cultural engagement.
Guests will enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, exclusive after-hours access to the exhibit Petah Coyne: How Much A Heart Can Hold, and the world premiere of Dustin Yellin: Psychogeographies. The event features the popular Palette Project auction — new works by renowned and emerging artists transforming palettes into unique art pieces. This year, three artists will vie for the Community Choice Award, with prizes sponsored by The Mosaic Art Fund.
Tickets are $325, with discounts for young collectors and complimentary for Director’s Circle Members. All proceeds benefit the museum’s exhibitions, education, and public programs.
