Saturday, November 4 join artist Onajide Shabaka from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at MDC’s Kendall Campus for a Miami Walking Studio.
Shabaka’s “studio” often occupies a metaphorical space of a walk or a hike in the urban or rural environment. Working both outdoors and in a traditional studio, Shabaka explores the environment and its biology, allowing site specific histories to reveal their narratives.
Shabaka invites attendees to observe and participate in his practice firsthand during this walking studio, which will culminate in the creation of a unique and collaborative artwork.
