Oceania Cruises has announced that Food & Wine’s acclaimed Best New Chefs franchise will serve as the official godparent of its newest ship, Oceania Allura, which debuted in July 2025 and will be christened in Miami on November 13. This marks the first time a culinary brand, rather than an individual, has been chosen as a godparent, emphasizing Oceania’s dedication to culinary excellence and innovation.
Representing the franchise at the christening are distinguished alumni chefs Katie Button, Calvin Eng, Aisha Ibrahim, Tavel Bristol-Joseph, George Mendes, and Lawrence “LT” Smith. These chefs bring a legacy of culinary innovation, sustainable practices, and cultural storytelling—aligning perfectly with Oceania’s commitment to delivering “The Finest Cuisine at Sea.”
The event will feature a traditional champagne toast and showcase the line’s ongoing dedication to epicurean excellence, inspiring voyages that blend world-class cuisine with extraordinary destinations.
