| Nu Deco Ensemble and PJ Morton return to the Adrienne Arsht Center with special friends for a powerful evening of music, community and soul. Guest performers include singers Darrel Walls and Susan Carol, and trumpeter Keyon Harrold—part of a Grammy-decorated lineup that spans soul, gospel and jazz.
A frequent collaborator with Nu Deco, Morton made his debut at the Adrienne Arsht Center in 2019 during Nu Deco’s fifth season, where they performed a reimagination of PJ Morton’s “Alright” and “This Christmas.”
Nu Deco will honor the 50th anniversary of Stevie Wonder’s Songs in the Key of Life with the world premiere of a brand-new symphonic suite, and welcome composer and pianist Courtney Bryan for the performance of her vibrant piano concerto House of Pianos. Featuring a Nu Deco original work, this performance is a joyful close to the year—and a celebration of musical kinship. |
