On Wednesday, March 11 at 6:30 PM, Niño Gordo, the cult-favorite Wynwood restaurant known for its high-voltage blend of Argentine fire and Asian technique, is launching Mahjong Nights — a new Wednesday night series taking place in the restaurant’s glitzy Gold Room in partnership with Mahj + Miami, the modern mahjong collective redefining the game through curated gatherings, strategy sessions, and design-forward events across the city.
Founded by Brooke of The Mahj Mom Club and Gabi of My Tile Society, Mahj + Miami has built a community around the idea that mahjong is as much about connection as it is about the tiles — bringing together players for elevated, social-first experiences that feel modern, magnetic, and distinctly Miami.
The series kicks off with an elevated social play evening pairing mahjong with cocktails and bites from Niño Gordo’s signature menu. The two-hour event ($110 per person) includes a welcome cocktail, hors d’oeuvres served throughout the evening, full mahjong table setup, social play, and door prizes for winning hands. Guests will snack on Niño Gordo favorites including:

- Wing Karaage
- Pork Belly Bao Buns with Miso Glaze
- Eel Kushi with Fried Tapioca
