New World Symphony Announces Gala: 1000

New World Symphony, America’s Orchestral Academy, will hold its premier Gala: 1000 on March 12, an evening that will be emceed by acclaimed actor Malcolm McDowell in honor of reaching 1,000 alumni. The event will be made even more special by the return of five alumni luminaries who have transformed the world of classical music.

Ticket holders will be treated to a unique live performance that unites past and current Fellows in celebration of the organization’s milestone achievement. They will be guided through the experience by the Master of Ceremonies, Malcolm McDowell, who was chosen because of the star’s connection to classical music. McDowell currently plays the role of a traditional conductor on Amazon’s hit series Mozart In The Jungle.

All proceeds from Gala: 1000 benefit New World Symphony’s mission to provide meaningful cultural programs to the South Florida community, while preparing young musicians for careers in the world of classical music. The Gala is also a great opportunity to get involved in Friends of New World Symphony, the membership program for budding philanthropists and music lovers alike. Members can purchase tickets for a highly discounted price and enjoy dinner at STK Miami, along with the other events at the Center.
