Manifestos,is completely viewable to anyone entering or leaving the Brickell neighborhood and will inevitably become a hot topic of discussion among the area’s residents— you can be sure that anyone stuck waiting for the Brickell Avenue Bridge will wonder what they’re looking at.
The piece is made up of a series of swinging pendulums—powered by a clearly recognizable bicycle wheel and electric motor— and megaphones placed on the other end of the long arms to give the piece a bell-like appearance. The illusion is completed by the words of the Futurists and Stuckists’ art manifestos that take the place of the traditional bell’s chime.
