On Saturday, February 27th, over 700 people will gather to raise money for at-risk kids in need here in South Florida and Haiti during the annual fund-raising event, The Blacks’ Annual Gala hosted by Lea and Roy Black. This year’s 15th anniversary gala is being held at and is presented by the FONTAINEBLEAU MIAMI BEACH. One of the top annual charity events on the South Florida social calendar, this star-studded event will feature performances by Grammy Award Winner, Natalie Cole, Latin Pop Sensation Paulina Rubio, Platinum Recording Artist Rick Ross, TV/Latin Music sensation, Jencarlos Canela, saxophonist, Alto Reed, and music by well-known DJ Entice – FLO RIDA’s Official DJ , DJ Irie and DJ Tracy Young. There will also be a special appearance by some of the “Real Housewives” from Bravo Network and Kim Zolciak, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” will present her dance hit single “Tardy for the Party.” For the first time ever, guests at the event will be able to enjoy an exhibition boxing match featuring top heavyweight boxer Fres “Fast Fres” Oquendo, Andrei “The Pitbull” Arlovski, presented by David Goldberg and Oquendoberg Productions.
A live and silent auction will include close to 200 items donated by national and international boutiques, retail outlets and artisans. This year’s live auction includes a Rolls-Royce Ghost, Bentley Mulsanne and Bugatti Veyron, provided by Braman Motors, a 2009 Limited Production Spyker C8 Laviolette, provided by The Craig Zinn Automotive Group, and an extraordinary modern design package including furnishings, art and accessories by award-winning designer Tui Pranich, creator of Tui Lifestyle Showroom. Plus, the first ever “Premiere Shop Miami” composed of 18 couture boutiques and galleries will open for late night shopping at the gala, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting these charities.
Upon arrival, celebrities will walk the red carpet while guests enjoy a delectable cocktail reception, generously provided by GREY GOOSE VODKA, Fantinel Italian Wines and the gourmet stylings of the resort’s chefs while perusing silent auction items from couture boutiques, incredible artisans and a host of top luxury brands. Following the reception, guests will be treated to dinner, entertainment, a couture and artisan shopping experience at Premiere Shop Miami, a boxing match and an after party at LIV at the FONTAINEBLEAU MIAMI BEACH.
One hundred percent of the ticket sales and auction proceeds benefit charity. This year’s not for profit recipients include Educate Tomorrow, I have a Dream and Project Medishare founded by internationally renowned physician, Dr. Barth Green.
