In Altadena, MusiCares hosted a free Health & Wellness Clinic for music professionals impacted by the 2025 LA wildfires, highlighting the ongoing recovery nearly a year later.
The event provided mental health support, physical therapy, vision care, hearing support, and emotional connection for local musicians, producers, and industry workers. Many attendees shared stories of loss—homes, studios, instruments, and lifelong memories—and expressed gratitude for the community support and MusiCares’ relief efforts.
One participant said, “Just being heard took a weight off my chest,” while another shared how MusiCares helped replace lost instruments and cover relocation costs. Common concerns included relocating while still paying on damaged homes, health issues from smoke, trauma, and income loss.
MusiCares continues to be a vital safety net, providing emergency financial aid, instrument replacement, housing support, and long-term care. The event showcased the resilience of LA’s music community and the ongoing need for support in the aftermath of the fires.
