MODUS MIAMI HOSTS MOLTENI&C ANNIVERSARY SOIRÉE & GIO PONTI FILM EXHIBITION AT THEIR DESIGN DISTRICT SHOWROOM DURING MIAMI ART WEEK

During Miami Art Week, Modus Miami will host renowned furniture design company Molteni&C’s 80th anniversary with cocktails & light bites along with a film exhibition of the U.S. Premiere of Amare Gio Ponti, a documentary short film of the legendary Italian designer Gio Ponti. Recently premiered at the Milano Design Film Festival, the film is a portrait ofGio Ponti’s life and career as an architect, aspiring painter, and promoter of Italian design. It is the first and only documentary about the great maestro with testimony from his heirs. Also featured in the film is an exclusive interview with the publisher, Benedikt Taschen, a tremendous Ponti fan and collector.

Founded in Giussano, Italy in 1934 by Angelo and Giuseppina Molteni, the last 80 years’ experience has nurtured the company’s capacity for innovation with constant investments in research and development. One thing has remained unchanged: quality, the fil rouge which for three generations has united the development of a group that ranks among the world’s leaders in the furnishing and design.

Also featured will be a Molteni&C Gio Ponti-design inspired chair titled Poltrona.

After Miami Art Week, the film exhibition and installation, directed by Francesca Molteni in partnership with Salvatore Licitra, will be available for viewing December 4 – 14, 2015 at Modus Miami (exclusive Miami distributor of Molteni&C) at Dada Flagship Store.
