The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO), Community Affairs Bureau will be hosting a Driving Under the Influence (D.U.I.) mock crash event at Felix Varela Senior High School on February 4, 2026, starting at 9:15 A.M.
D.U.I. vehicle collisions affect many people and are responsible for the loss of many innocent lives each year. The MDSO Community Affairs Bureau will be working with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, as they bring their fire and rescue trucks, air rescue unit, and extrication equipment to make the mock D.U.I. crash scene come to life. Excalibur Towing and Caballero Rivero Westchester Funeral Home will also participate to ensure a sense of reality for the students and faculty. Our goal is to teach our youth the dangers and consequences of driving under the influence.
