Miami’s Thriving Industrial Real Estate Sector & Tribute to Roslyn Berrin’s 100th Year

Commercial Real Estate Women Miami (CREW Miami) announces its October lunch program. Guests will learn about the current trends and updates in the industrial real estate sector including, but not limited to, financing, construction, zoning, and market demand. Miami’s Success in ”Manufacturing” a Thriving Industrial Real Estate Space will take place at 11:30 am on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Mayfair House Hotel & Garden, 3000 Florida Ave., Miami 33133. The early registration fee is $75.00 for members and $95 for non-members. Visit CREWMiami.org/Events.

The guest speakers are Erin Byers, Executive Vice President at Colliers; Traci Miller, Sr. Vice President Corporate Communications/Shareholder at Miller Construction Company; Sebastian J. Juncadella, SIOR, Senior Advisor at Fairchild Partners; and Isabel Montalvo, Lead Finance Associate at Scout Cold Logistics.

“While industrial real estate is sometimes overshadowed by more “glamorous” sectors, the industrial real estate sector has been a valuable income-generating asset class and enabler of global e-commerce, especially since COVID,” commented Jacqueline Cruz-Bustillo, CREW Miami President and Vice President at U.S. Century Bank.  “In Miami, with a vacancy rate of only 2.1% in this sector, strong demand and limited availability has led to a surge in its rental rates. Currently, the average asking rent represents a 16% year-over-year increase. This trend highlights Miami’s appeal as a prime location for industrial logistics, supported by its thriving economy.”
