Health Foundation of South Florida Announces Dr. Roger A. Mitchell, Jr. as Keynote Speaker for 2026 Black Health Summit in Miami

 

Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at the Charles F. Dodge City Center in Miami, Florida.

Miami will host an upcoming milestone in health equity as Dr. Roger A. Mitchell, Jr., newly installed President of the National Medical Association—America’s oldest organization representing Black physicians— will serve as keynote speaker at the 2026 Black Health Summit. The event, held on June 16 at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, is a leading gathering of local leaders, health professionals, and youth advocates focused on advancing justice and community well-being.

Dr. Mitchell, a renowned forensic pathologist and President of Howard University Hospital, brings a powerful voice on systems change and intergenerational leadership to South Florida’s most influential health equity summit. His insights will inspire lasting transformation in public health, medicine, and policy across the region.
