Debra Lee, Coleman’s mother, emphasized his dedication to uplifting emerging voices and promoting inclusivity in music. The scholarship aligns with the Academy’s DREAM Network—a movement to ensure diverse representation across the industry—continuing Coleman’s mission to empower the next generation of music creators, including those from Miami.

The finalists will be announced in November. For more information, please visit www.grammymuseum.org.
