Miami International Airport Celebrates Black History Month with Vibrant Drum Performances

Miami International Airport (MIA), a gateway to the world, marked Black History Month with dynamic drum performances on February 12, showcasing the cultural vibrancy that defines Miami-Dade County. Inside the busiest concourse, travelers experienced two energetic 30-minute acts featuring Grammy-nominated musician Willie Stewart and his talented drum team.

Stewart, known for his role as the principal drummer and percussionist for the legendary reggae group Third World, captivated audiences with rhythms that celebrate the African diaspora. His performances, part of his signature Rhythms of Africa series, highlighted the rich musical heritage and cultural diversity of the region.
