The Miami Dolphins announced today that Head Coach Mike McDaniel has been relieved of his duties. Team Chairman and Owner Stephen Ross cited the need for “comprehensive change” after a difficult season.
McDaniel, named the Dolphins’ 11th head coach in 2022, posted a 35-33 record and led the team to two playoff appearances in his tenure. Despite his creativity and passion, the organization believes new leadership is necessary to turn the team around.
The Dolphins and their fans now look ahead to a new chapter in their rebuilding process.
