Miami DDA and Freebee Expand Fleet Connecting Brickell, Downtown and the Arts & Entertainment District

Downtown Miami is getting a major mobility upgrade designed to make getting around the urban core easier than ever. The Miami Downtown Development Authority and Freebee will unveil an expanded fleet of six new, all-electric vehicles available on demand through Brickell, the Central Business District and the Arts & Entertainment (A&E) District, creating a simple way for those who live, work and visit Downtown Miami to hop between offices, restaurants, museums, waterfront destinations and more throughout the district.

The expansion builds on the success of the Miami DDA’s previous Freebee program, which served more than 40,000 passengers, and is expected to bring even more riders as the new routes help close the gap between Downtown’s key neighborhoods and destinations.

Miami DDA leadership and City of Miami Commissioners will unveil the new vehicles and take part in an inaugural ride showcasing how the service is helping connect Downtown’s fastest-growing neighborhoods.
