Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, alongside key officials and Lemartec Corporation, officially opened the new Ibis Garage at Miami International Airport as part of the $9 billion Modernization in Action Plan. The $137 million, seven-level facility adds 2,240 parking spaces, bringing MIA’s total to over 10,500—perfect for the busy winter travel season.
The Ibis Garage features eco-friendly elements such as 50 electric vehicle charging stations, energy-efficient LED lighting, and Parksmart Silver Certification, showcasing a commitment to sustainability. Lemartec completed the project six months ahead of schedule, demonstrating efficiency and strong collaboration.
This major milestone enhances parking accessibility, alleviating congestion while supporting MIA’s broader overhaul, including renovated terminals, new concourses, and extensive facility upgrades, all set for completion within the next five years.
Travelers can now enjoy more convenient, environmentally conscious parking options during the holiday rush at one of the nation’s busiest airports.
