MIAMI CHILDREN’S MUSEUM DECEMBER CALENDAR

Holidays Around the World!

All Month Long

Across the world, families and friends gather to celebrate different things. This December, we’ll learn about some of the popular holidays observed here in the United States, as well as a variety of holidays observed all over the world! Create new weekly crafts while learning about a new holiday, make your own candle in our Maker Space, and get creative in our Art Studio by making your own gift wrapping paper. Visit Museum at Home or our social media channels (YouTubeInstagramFacebookTwitter) to view videos, released weekly, that will entertain and educate your little ones with stories, music, cooking, books, special guests and more.  Holidays celebrated include Bohdi Day, St Lucia Day, Yalda Night, Dongzhi, Pancha Ganapati, Hanukkah, Christmas and Kwanzaa.

Sensory Friendly Saturday: Tis The Season

Saturday, December 11 | 10AM–12PM

On the second Saturday of every month, Miami Children’s Museum offers a sensory friendly experience for children with disabilities and their families. This month The Fellows at New World Symphony will be helping us celebrate the holidays with an interactive musical performance! Enjoy as they set the mood for a Sensory Friendly Santa visit. And as always explore the Museum in a sensory modified supportive setting with limited admission and sound and lighting adjustments. Our goal is to provide your child with the opportunity to engage in social interactions, improve their sensory processing and to optimize their understanding of and participation in natural environments.

Click HERE to register for Sensory Friendly Saturday. Space is limited so register today! If you need assistance, please call 305-373-5437 x130.
