OCTOBER 18, 7:00 P.M. DINNER: MICHAEL SCHWARTZ X MATTEBELLA VINEYARDS
Chef Michael Schwartz, renowned for his Design District restaurant, Michael’s Genuine® Food & Drink, is partnering with North Fork vintner Mark Tobin of Mattebella Vineyards to host a unique wine dinner featuring Tobin’s unreleased 2014 Mattebella Rolima. The event promises an elevated dining experience that highlights the art of food and wine pairing.
Chef Schwartz will be joined in the kitchen by Randy Zuniga, chef at Michael’s Genuine, and his daughter Lua, head baker at Chicago’s Floriole. The dinner features a menu that includes hors d’oeuvres such as chilled mussels, duck fried tater tots with caviar, and curried lamb neck. The main courses feature cured Skuna Bay salmon, guinea hen confit, and slow-roasted Moroccan-spiced beef short rib, each paired with exclusive Mattebella wines.
