Marc Anthony and Henry Cardenas hosted the 11th Annual Maestro Cares Foundation Gala, “Changing Lives, Building Dreams,” last night at Cipriani Wall Street, gathering over 600 guests in a celebration of philanthropy and community spirit. This star-studded event recognized exceptional honorees for their contributions to charitable causes, blending emotion with inspiring stories.
Among the evening’s highlights was the presentation of the Maestro Cares Courage to Care Award to Rosie Perez, the Oscar-nominated actress and choreographer. In her heartfelt acceptance speech, Perez emphasized the importance of compassion and education, moving attendees with her commitment to advocacy.
Carlos and Daniella Correa received the Maestro Cares All-Star Award for their transformative contributions through the Correa Family Foundation, which supports children and families in need, particularly within the sports community. Oscar Muñoz, a prominent entrepreneur and author, was honored with the Maestro Cares Corporate Social Responsibility Award, recognized for his impactful leadership in corporate philanthropy.
The gala featured an exquisite dinner, an intimate musical performance by Marc Anthony, and live and silent auctions offering unique items and experiences. Anthony expressed gratitude to attendees, stating, “Tonight we celebrate not only their accomplishments but the incredible work we have accomplished together. Together, we are changing lives, building dreams, and offering a better future for the children who need it most.”
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Maestro Cares Foundation, established in 2012 by Anthony and Cardenas to improve the quality of life for underprivileged children in Latin America and the United States. The foundation has funded 39 projects across 16 countries, impacting thousands of lives and providing educational opportunities for students in need.
