An afternoon of expressive depth and virtuosic brilliance awaits in Twilight and Fire, the culminating chamber concert of the 2025 Mainly Mozart Festival. This richly Romantic program opens with the lyrical intimacy of Clara Schumann and Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel, culminating in the exuberant drive and structural innovation of Robert Schumann’s Piano Quintet in E-flat major—a cornerstone of the repertoire.
The powerhouse ensemble brings together a distinguished group of internationally recognized artists:
- Julian Rhee, violin – Winner of the Avery Fisher Career Grant and a prize-winner at the Queen Elisabeth and Indianapolis International Violin Competitions, hailed for his commanding stage presence and interpretive insight.
- Misha Vitenson, violin & Michael Klotz, viola – Esteemed members of the renowned Amernet String Quartet, in residence at Florida International University and celebrated for their expressive range and dynamic ensemble work.
- Jonah Kim, cello – Acclaimed for his “technical mastery and singing tone” (Strings Magazine), Kim is a sought-after soloist and chamber musician, known for his musical sensitivity and magnetic performances.
- Marina Radiushina, piano – Award-winning pianist and Artistic Director of the Mainly Mozart Festival, recognized for her imaginative programming and collaborative excellence.
