Join us for a special encore event presenting MJFF 2025 Official Selection Miami Schmatta on Thursday, March 27 at 7pm at Savor Cinema Fort Lauderdale, where co-directors Aaron Glickman & Clare Vickery will be in attendance to introduce the film and engage in an extended conversation after the screening.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of Miami, Miami Schmatta is a touching and illuminating documentary that delves into the remarkable legacy of immigrants who transformed their lives through the American garment industry. Featuring heartfelt interviews with Miami-based business owners, tailors, fashion designers, factory workers, and professors, the film chronicles the rise of a flourishing post-World War II industry and its expansion through the 1980s.
This special community event is free and open to the public, brought back by popular demand after its sold out world premiere at the recent Miami Jewish Film Festival. Due to limited seating, we encourage you to RSVP to secure your spot, as seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. |
