Local Views at the Art Station: Inked Verses—A Gathering of Words and Community
August 30, 1–3pm
Join us for a two-hour activation celebrating the power of language to connect and transform. At the heart of this experience is multidisciplinary artist Rosa Naday Garmendia and poet Oscar Fuentes, also known as The Biscayne Poet. These two artists share a profound love for words and a deep commitment to working with community.
Rooted in Naday Garmendia’s socially engaged printmaking practice and Fuentes’ spontaneous poetry, this artful activation invites the you to co-create, reflect, and engage through words and images. Together, we’ll explore memory, identity, and collective expression in a space shaped by care, creativity, and connection.
