
The Miami Grand Prix announced that Katharina Nowak has been promoted to President, making her the youngest woman to hold such a role in Formula 1® history at just 28 years old. Nowak, formerly Vice President of Business Operations and integral to the race’s growth, will lead the event into its next chapter of fan experience and innovation.
Tom Garfinkel, Managing Partner of the Miami Grand Prix, praised Nowak’s talent and leadership. Under her tenure, the race has achieved record-breaking attendance and sponsorship growth. She previously led business operations for the event since 2023 and holds a degree from Loyola University Chicago.
Additionally, John Murphy was promoted to Managing Director of South Florida Motorsports, overseeing operations at the Miami International Autodrome. Murphy brings extensive motorsport experience from Australia and Australia’s FIA governing body.
These leadership changes position Miami’s iconic race for continued global success and fan engagement.
