EMPIRE SOCIAL LOUNGE BRICKELL LAUNCHES EXCLUSIVE CHEF DINNER SERIES
The special events will feature unique culinary experiences carefully curated to delight guests.
Empire Social Lounge Brickell is excited to launch a new series of events featuring acclaimed chefs. The kickoff dinner will bring together two dynamic chefs, Cristian Canencio and Edward J Sura, who have worked at multiple Michelin rated restaurants. Members and attendees who are familiar with the location can expect a modified setup for ambiance and comfort. The dinner will be composed of a 5- course dinner, accompanied with wine pairings, Glenfiddich Grand Cru after dinner drink, and cigars by Davidoff and Avo Cigars. This event is exclusive to Empire Social Lounge members and member guest referrals.
The inaugural Empire Social Lounge Chef Dinner Series will take place on Wednesday September 29, 2021, with two seating options (6:15 PM and 8:45 PM). Empire Social Lounge Brickell is located at 1106 S. Miami Ave. Miami, FL 33130.
The Colombian born Chef Cristian Canencio has been the Executive Sous chef at Uchi Miami since its opening in 2021. His passion for Japanese cuisine was ignited at the renowned Uchiko in Austin, TX. Chef Cristian has worked at Michelin star restaurants such as Corton, Gotham Bar and Grill, Marc Forgione, Dovetail and Nix.
Chef Edward J Sura, a semifinalist for the 2016 James Beard Foundation’s Rising Chef Award was raised on a Michigan farm. This childhood experience sparked a deep appreciation of approachable, rustic dishes full of fresh, local ingredients. Inspired by the seasons, he continuously cultivates and strengthen his partnerships with the best products from farmers, cheese makers, ranchers, bakers, and artisans from the surrounding region. Chef Sura built an impressive resume, including some of Chicago’s most preeminent restaurants such as Michelin-starred Graham Elliot, Perennial Virant, at the acclaimed NoMIKitchen.
