Hyatt Hotels Corporation, showcasing its dynamic growth strategy at the International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) in Cannes, announced a pipeline of over 50 luxury and lifestyle hotels set to debut worldwide by 2026. Amidst a booming luxury travel market, the hospitality giant is strategically positioned to capture emerging opportunities, particularly in high-demand destinations like Miami.

“Celebrating the best of luxury travel here at ILTM is fantastic, and I’m thrilled to unveil Hyatt’s evolved brand portfolios designed to align closely with guest preferences,” said Crystal Vinisse Thomas, VP & Global Brand Leader for Lifestyle & Luxury Brands at Hyatt.
The surge in luxury travel demand in 2023 has led to significant investments in the sector, with Savills predicting a 52.8% increase in Europe’s existing luxury hotel stock by 2028. This growth is reflected in Hyatt’s impressive track record, expanding its luxury offerings by adding 28 new hotels and doubling its luxury room count since 2017.
Among the eagerly anticipated openings are the Andaz Miami Beach and Thompson Miami Beach, both set to elevate the city’s vibrant hospitality scene. These additions will build upon Hyatt’s previous successes with hotels like the Park Hyatt London River Thames and Alila Shanghai, illustrating the brand’s commitment to delivering exceptional experiences tailored to modern travelers.
Hyatt’s recent acquisition of several pioneering lifestyle brands, including Standard International, demonstrates its dedication to the evolving landscape of hospitality. The creation of a dedicated Lifestyle group headquartered in New York City, led by Amar Lalvani, aims to enhance the guest experience through innovative design and immersive cultural offerings.
As Hyatt prepares for these landmark openings, the company remains focused on crafting elevated experiences that blend luxury with contemporary culture. With Miami’s reputation as a premier travel destination, the introduction of new properties promises to further solidify the city’s status as a hub for luxury travelers seeking distinctive and memorable stays.
As Javier Águila, Group President for EAME at Hyatt, noted, “Our future in these highly sought-after segments looks brighter than ever, thanks to our strategic acquisitions and commitment to building specialized teams.” With a robust pipeline ahead, Hyatt is set to redefine luxury and lifestyle travel across the globe, including the sunny shores of Miami.
