Hulu to Premiere New Docuseries “Devil in the Family: The Fall of Ruby Franke” on February 27

From Passion Pictures, the three-part series sheds light on a shocking family tragedy

Hulu has announced the upcoming release of its original documentary series, “Devil in the Family: The Fall of Ruby Franke,” produced by Passion Pictures. The compelling three-part series is set to premiere on February 27, 2025, providing subscribers with access to all episodes simultaneously. Additionally, for those enrolled in the Disney+ Bundle, the docuseries will also be available via Hulu.

The series explores the dark turn of events surrounding Ruby Franke, a once-beloved vlogger who was arrested for child abuse in August 2023. Her YouTube channel, which had captivated an audience of 2.5 million subscribers at its peak, painted a picture of a wholesome family life—a façade that would eventually crumble, revealing a far more disturbing reality. As cracks began to show in their seemingly perfect existence, the Franke family sought help from counselor Jodi Hildebrandt, unwittingly stepping into a nightmare that few could imagine.

“Devil in the Family” marks the first time Ruby’s eldest children, Shari and Chad, along with her husband, Kevin, will share their experiences in-depth on camera. Drawing from exclusive interviews, firsthand accounts, and over a thousand hours of unseen footage from their YouTube channel, the series promises to delve into the complexities of the Franke family’s journey—a poignant blend of family tragedy, coming-of-age narrative, and a cautionary tale about the perils of a life lived online.

Directed by Olly Lambert, this series joins a growing slate of impactful documentaries offered by Hulu, including titles like “God Forbid: The Sex Scandal That Brought Down a Dynasty” and “Stolen Youth: The Cult at Sarah Lawrence.”

Hulu, a leading premium streaming service, provides an extensive range of live and on-demand entertainment options to its viewers.
