In early March, the stylish Hotel AKA Brickell will officially debut as Brickell Arch, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Miami, marking a new chapter of luxury and transformation.
Since its 2021 acquisition by Electra America Hospitality Group—joint venture with luxury long-stay brand AKA—the 201-key property has undergone a $16 million design overhaul, elevating its aesthetic and amenities. As the hotel joins Marriott’s prestigious Luxury Collection portfolio on March 4, management will shift to HEI Hotels & Resorts, based in Norwalk, Connecticut, while ownership remains with AKA’s parent company, Korman Communities, of Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania.
Electra America’s CEO Russ Urban emphasizes long-term value through strategic investment, ensuring the property’s continued high performance. Larry Korman, CEO of AKA, celebrates the hotel’s success as Miami’s top-rated hotel on TripAdvisor in a competitive market.
HEI’s Anthony Rutledge expressed enthusiasm for managing this iconic Miami property, praising Electra America’s vision and the prime Brickell location. The hotel’s renovation, led by Gabellini Sheppard Associates, includes a stunning redesign of public spaces, arrival experience, and upgraded amenities.
Features include a ground-floor lobby, a 25th-floor panoramic lounge, ADRIFT Mare restaurant by Michelin-starred Chef David Myers, resort-style pool, Sky Bar + Grill, Leaf Spa, and a fitness center. Additional enhancements will further position Brickell Arch as a global luxury destination, blending Miami’s vibrant energy with sophisticated elegance.
