Highlights from the 2026 Miami E-Prix: Evans Wins on the Edge Amid Thrilling Race & Major Milestones

Jaguar TCS Racing’s Mitch Evans delivered an electrifying switchback move on Lap 27 to secure his 15th Formula E victory at the rain-soaked Miami E-Prix, marking a career milestone by passing 1,000 points. Starting ninth, Evans seized his chance in the tough conditions, overtaking Porsche’s Nico Müller with a strategic dummy and pulling away to a commanding lead, ultimately winning by 3.1 seconds.

Porsche’s Müller and Pascal Wehrlein rounded out the podium, highlighting Porsche’s strong weekend and extending their lead in the Teams’ and Manufacturers’ standings. Müller expressed pride in the team’s performance, and Wehrlein acknowledged a challenging weekend but emphasized the importance of gathering points for the season’s future.

The race featured intense battles, multiple ATTACK MODE swings, and driver heroics across 41 laps of challenging weather conditions, with the field tested on every front. Despite setbacks, Nick Cassidy remains the Drivers’ Championship leader, with Wehrlein closing in.

Off the track, Formula E announced a multi-year partnership with Google Cloud, a collaboration with SunGod, and the appointment of Lucien Laviscount as a Brand Ambassador. The championship continues to push sustainability, powering the Miami event with renewable energy and reducing logistics-related emissions.

Miami’s electric excitement will next shift to Jeddah on February 13-14 for Rounds 4 and 5, featuring the return of Evo Sessions—an innovative event with global creators racing GEN3 EVO cars.
