To kick-off the Art Basel 2015 festivities, HES Group, the hotel development company behind hotels brands including Aloft Miami Brickell, Aloft Coral Gables, and the upcoming Triptych™ Design District Miami, will unveil the stunning 50-foot WISH exhibit.
Created by Rob Buchholz, WISH has been seen by millions across the globe, and is a mixed medium project depicting three contemporary dandelions that are losing their seeds in the wind. Like most of Robs’ projects, WISH’s size definitely catches everyone’s attention. Wish has a custom designed RGB LED pixel array controlled by bespoke software and programming that models the precise location of each pixel in 3D space. The installation provides a 360-degree 3D experience.
The Exhibit will also include Peter Tunney’s roving lit vehicle and work of art, “Lady Bug”, which was featured in Nick Jonas’ “Chains” video filmed in Wynwood. Peter Tunney is considered one of the most important contemporary American pop artists.
WHO: Francisco Arocha, Managing Partner and CEO of HES Group, HES Group representatives, artist Rob Buchholz and artist and curator Peter Tunney will unveil the installation and be available for interviews on December 1st.
