Heads Up: View the Annular Eclipse on October 14 at the Library 🌑

The annular eclipse is an astronomical phenomenon that occurs when the moon passes between the sun and Earth, creating a “ring of fire” effect. Join Dr. Ata Sarajedini, astrophysicist from Florida Atlantic University, for an engaging in-person and live-streamed presentation that includes fascinating eclipse facts, safety tips and more.

Saturday, October 14, Noon – 3 p.m.
In-Person Presentation
Westchester Regional Library

The presentation will also be live-streamed at 30 participating library locations. For more information, visit mdpls.org/eclipse.

After the presentation, participants will receive a free pair of solar eclipse glasses to safely watch the eclipse outside, followed by a fun, eclipse-themed craft activity. All ages.

Supplies are limited. Sharing of solar eclipse glasses is encouraged.
