Great Loves of the Silver Screen – February 13, 2010

Vivace: A Valentine’s Day Event for the New World Symphony
February 13, 2010 at 7pm.

South Florida’s beloved Orchestral Academy is staging a spectacular evening full of romance for its annual fundraising affair, Vivace. This year’s Valentine’s celebration begins at the Gusman Center with Great Loves of the Silver Screen, a one-of-a-kind full-orchestra performance accompanied by projected excerpts from films such as Doctor Zhivago, Madame Bovary, Brigadoon, King Kong and others — a timeless evening of Hollywood glamour.

Following the performance, guests will attend a glittering, Golden Era red-carpet soirée presented at The Historic Alfred I DuPont Building. Attendees will sip classic cocktails, dine on exquisite cuisine, and dance the night away, all while bidding on unforgettable items in the silent auction.
