Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Fort Lauderdale welcomes ViceVersa, Miami’s James Beard Foundation–nominated concept from acclaimed bartender Valentino Longo, for ViceVersa, A Fort Lauderdale Residency, officially opening later this month. From late November through May, guests and locals are invited to experience ViceVersa’s playful approach to Italian aperitivo with a South Florida twist, following the bar’s philosophy that there is no right time for aperitivo; it may be enjoyed in the early afternoon gearing up for a night out, or vice versa, later in the evening to wind down.
Guests will find the residency in the hotel’s lobby at a newly installed bar that channels Milanese elegance blended with modern Fort Lauderdale style. In the evening, the space around the bar transforms into a sleek, contemporary lounge with a curated soundtrack of Italian and American funky beats and an energetic yet relaxed atmosphere.
For ViceVersa’s first residency, Co-Owner Valentino Longo crafted a cocktail menu (ranging from vibrant spritzes to riffs on spirit-forward classics) titled Vacanza named after Italy’s most beloved state of mind: “vacation.” The inspiration comes from the simple act of going on vacation, like the Italian ritual of escaping in the summer and pressing pause for a few weeks every August, and the permanent summer vacation vibes that attract people to Florida year-round. Highlights include:
- Martini Doppio, a Gibson with a new life, with vodka or gin, Americano Rosa, Tio Pepe, and pickled onions
- ViceVersa Negroni, a reimagined classic with a touch of Florida, featuring Bombay Sapphire and ViceVersa’s Mi-To, a dolce amaro blend
- Beeswax Old Fashioned, bourbon, Cynar, Mr. Black, and walnut bitter
- Rita, everyone’s favorite margarita with Patron blanco, mango, vermentino, lime, spicy agave, and barolo wine
In addition, Longo created two refreshing spritzes exclusively for the hotel:
- White Wine Spritzwith Italicus, peach, white wine, elderberry, and soda
- Coast to Coast with Aperol, coconut water, and prosecco
ViceVersa joins Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale’s collection of Michelin-awarded culinary experiences, further establishing the resort as the heart of the city’s dining scene. Before or after enjoying cocktails at ViceVersa, guests are encouraged to dine at one of the property’s award-winning dining destinations: Evelyn’s Fort Lauderdale by Chef Brandon Salomon, or MAASS by Chef Ryan Ratino. The residency celebrates Fort Lauderdale’s growing reputation as a destination for world-class cuisine and cocktail culture.
